They’ve always had a love for the Labrador Retriever and recently have enjoyed raising puppies. For many years, Sue and Jim were clients of Desoto Vet clinic and recently Sue was asked to come on board and assist with front desk needs. If I’m not hanging with my family, I’m with my work family taking care of your amazing companions. Working beside an amazing Dr. and his staff is truly a wonderful feeling as we all love what we do. Working at De Soto Vet Clinic has taught me a lot. Dedication, compassion, and hard work. Those three things brings this clinic together as we all strive to be there for you and your companions!

Aaliya Smith
Hi, I’m Aaliya! I’m a 21 year old veterinary technician who started at the clinic with a year of experience in the beginning of January. While doing what I love here, my favorite things to do are help with the aggressive pets, do dental cleanings, draw blood, and learning while doc is operating. I’ve lived in basehor my whole life, but love traveling anywhere warm or with mountains. On my days off, I enjoy spending time with my crazy family, hanging out with other people’s dogs, being outside, and playing with my blue-eyed bengal baby, Leo.

Groomer
Dana Haden
Raised as a Military Brat. Went to 4 different grade schools in 3
states. Met and married Kelly while we were students at Highland College. Adult children are Ella, Hannah, and Scott plus quite a few grandkittys. Furry children are Wally (dog) and Honey (cat). In spare time I love arts & crafts, the more glittery the better! Started grooming full time at Olathe Petsmart in 2014. Moved to DVC with Dr. Fehr in 2020. My #1 professional trait is my patience with “aggressive dogs that have to be muzzled for grooming”, if you are willing to spend time and can communicate with the animal a good groomer can usually tell when the dog needs a break. My #1 fun trait is being able to blend my grooming and my arts/crafts in creating seasonal photo ops for my clients. While maybe not as valued by my dogs, I think the dog parents appreciate the photos.
